The Lord Humungus rules the wasteland

  1. Regarding whole seeds and grains;they
can be soaked in water for several hours & then eaten. You can also sprout many grains and seeds, which increases their nutritional value. A particularly tasty mix is,1 part radish,
& 3 parts alfalfa seed. With 3 or 4 sprouting jars you can have a ready to eat crop every day. Great nutritional value too. There’s the story of a family of 4 who were forced to live on nothing but sprouts for 6 months (alfalfa, I believe).Their cost in seeds was $35.00.
That was 40 years ago. Today’s price could be 5-10 times that price, and still
be a phenomenal deal. Also, seeds have a very long shelf life,if kept packaged against moisture.
If you’re interested,I can also give you instructions for storing large amounts of food for extended periods of time.
The key is clean water. A pressure cooker,or a solar distiller can be a literal life saver. Ask me and I’ll send these instructions. Friendly Phil
